Last week's visitors [week ending: 04-06-2005]

Just for fun and to kill some time, here are the flags of the visitors to this website last week. They are ordered by number of hits from that country. I had no idea there was such a diverse collection.

[Apr 2008 edit: sorry, there used to be a picture here but it got to be the top hit in Google image search for a very common term and I can't support the amount of bandwith needed to service all the queries.]

I did it by hand. My ISP has an online web stats package which is where the flags and visitor counts came from. I then copied the HTML into Word and moved the flags around (Word was great because it's got a grid placement system so it's easy to line things up).

I was about to upload the flags individually and thought that the download time would be too long so copied the whole thing and pasted into a new Paint Shop Pro image.

The whole operation took about 20 minutes.

Same on my blog .. the coolest one had to be the one visitor from Nepal. Although I had visions of yaks bearing WAPs and repeaters, a little investigation revealed they actually have a sophisticated satellite network !

However, it would nice if they'd leave comments from time tio time :^)
