Round the Island Race 2006

The results are in and we came 18th out of 60 in our class with a time of 13 hours, 48 minutes and 2 seconds. Not bad considering there was no wind, we missed the tides and 42 other boats retired. I took a few pictures which you can find in the gallery.

So - are you saying that 42 out of 60 retired - meaning that only 18 finished - meaning that you were last of the finishers?

I think we should be told! ;-)

Yes, we were the last of the finishers. In fact we only lost our place in the last 30 mins of the race. During the race itself we pretty much maintained ~20th place thoughout. By finishers, I mean those that sailed the whole way and handed in a race declaration. Some finished but didn't declare which means that probably had an engine on sometime.
