« Deleting User/Group Hierarchies in SQL | Main | Configuration Settings for Reporting Ser... »

Microsoft Patterns and Practises have finally released the tool they use to automatically generate the resx resource files in their Enterprise Library. My thoughts on the library itself are covered elsewhere in this blog but this tool is fantastic. It's a real time saver because each string only requires a single line in the strings file and no angle brackets which is no worse than typing into your source file. Grab the zip file (you will need to join the workspace to download), install and read the docs.

On the subject of tools, don't miss Scott Hanselman's 2005 Ultimate Developer and Power Users Tool List.

I wondered how long it would take for you to see - half an hour is pretty impressive.

It was a good session but do you have any pictures? I expect those people you were interviewing look nothing like I imagine from their voices...

I took some pictures with my mobile, and posted them to my Flickr account; they're at http://www.flickr.com/photos/koanbremner/tags/londonpride2005/ - all but one of the people I spoke with are in there. Out of respect for their privacy, though, I'm not matching faces with voices. Not online. The fact that I'm out and unashamed about it is my choice, and I'll take the consequences of that, but I won't play "fast and loose" with the personal safety of other people. But it was a wickedly fun day! :-)
